"The Two Course Challenge" at Disney's Wine and Dine Weekend In support of the Dragon Master Foundation

Dragon Master's goal is to use big data to help researchers identify patterns and further their research using a collaborative approach. They are working on developing and expanding "CAVATICA", in partnership with the Children's Brain Tumor Network, which is an open access research tool that enables doctors and scientists to easily share, research and analyze large collections of patient data. It can also track patients from one clinical trial/hospital to the next. When researchers can easily share data and collaborate on medical research, more breakthroughs are able to happen at a faster rate. 

Collaborative medical research is something near and dear to Jordan and I as our daughter has a very rare genetic disorder that has no treatment or cure. With a very small population of CDG patients scattered around the globe, it is very difficult for anyone to make any headway on finding treatments, cures, or even just sharing experiences and support. A technology that allows doctors from anywhere in the world to easily access and collaborate on treatments is huge for families like ours.

Jordan and I are wildly mediocre runners who love the challenge and focus of a race...and we love Disney so this event is a natural fit. While we won't win, we will finish this challenge because the cause is important to us and we hope you will consider supporting Dragon Masters and our efforts to run a mildly fast 10k on the Saturday and likely slow 1/2 Marathon on the Sunday.
