When Women Build, Communities Thrive
Fugleberg Koch believes in the mission to make affordable housing a reality for families in our community.
In Seminole County & Greater Apopka, 63% of single female households, which include 24,565 children, live below the poverty level. Poverty and substandard housing are severe threats to children’s health, growth and potential, and contributes to the continuing cycle of poverty.
Building homes with Habitat for Humanity is a concrete way to address the problem. It provides the opportunity for safe, decent and affordable housing and an opportunity to break the cycle of poverty. The Women Build events provide the opportunity for women to take proactive steps in serving their communities.
