For the 6th year, the women of FK Architecture are excited to team up to raise funds and awareness for Habitat for Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka by participating in Women Build. This will be my 4th Women Build with the firm. This program helps families of Seminole County get back on their feet by providing affordable and safe housing and educating them in many areas to set them up for continued success as homeowners. Families and individuals needing decent, affordable housing apply for homeownership with their local Habitat for Humanity. As part of their willingness to partner, Habitat’s homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of their labor, called sweat equity, working alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners. FK Architecture has been a leader in affordable housing since the early 1970s. Changing and improving lives for the better is one of our fundamental missions as architects, and we are eager to participate in a cause that promotes what we believe in right here in our community.
