Jamie and I are participating in Habitat for Humanity Women Build for the 11th year! This is a cause that is near to our hearts, and we couldn't do what we do each year without your support! Housing prices and mortgage rates have skyrocketed, making homeownership less and less obtainable for many people. Habitat for Humanity Seminole-Apopka has a proven model that helps families escape the cycle of poverty, teach financial stability, as well as skills to set them up for long-term success. Before they close on their mortgage, Habitat homebuyers take classes on financial planning, debt management, and home maintenance, as well as put in hundreds of hours of sweat equity on their future home. Over the years, we have seen how Habitat for Humanity’s program has changed lives. It is such an honor to meet the families, and work alongside them, literally building their future.
