Millersville Women's Club Soccer has been selected to participate in NIRSA's National Championship in Round Rock, TX and needs your help!
The club has been given this amazing opportunity to reward all their hard work this season. The cost of the trip to Texas can be broken down into the following categories...
- Transportation
- Housing
- Food
- Entry Fee
Our goal is to raise $10,000 so that everyone on the team can go to Texas, regardless of their own financial status. Some of the other fundraisers the team has already completed in the last two weeks are a merchandise store, bake sale, sugar-bowl delivery, concession stands at baseball and hockey games, Pie-a-player, as well as local business collaboration.
The board members are working hard to make this tournament successful and affordable, so every dollar helps. Any contribution, no matter how small, will be appreciated. Millersville Women’s Club Soccer is grateful for the opportunity and looks forward to representing the school!
Even after the national championship is finished, the team will be able to use any funding provided to better our spring and fall 2024 season. Any funds donated will go towards our season, including ref fees and league fees. Funds could also go towards warm up pants, jackets, book bags and more. Millersville Women’s Club Soccer has also considered hosting a tournament and travelling to schools further away, which would be made possible with additional funds.

About the Team
Millersville Women’s Club Soccer is a team that competes in the NIRSA Region 1 Club Soccer. For the first time in many years Millersville Women’s Club Soccer ended with a winning season, going 6-4. Additionally, the women’s club team was the only D2 school to be offered a spot in the NIRSAs Region 1 regional’s soccer tournament at Stonybrook University, New York, and is now being offered a bid for NIRSA's National Open Championship.
Along with these tournament opportunities, the board members representing the women's club team have been working hard. They started in the spring semester of 2023 by providing the team with new pinnies, balls, equipment, and most recently, new uniforms. With all of these improvements, the team has been brought so much closer together and has become a far more competitive, hard-working team. This group of girls are no longer just teammates but also a family.
About NIRSA and Region 1 Club Soccer
There are 102 club teams in the Region 1 NIRSA Women’s League. This division consists of schools spanning from Delaware, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New England, New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. With one of the most populated and competitive divisions, Millersville Women’s Club Soccer plays in the Central Pennsylvania league, consisting of 8 schools. In this league are teams we play for our “regular season” games. The teams included in this league are Penn State University, Bucknell University, Bloomsburg University, Messiah College, York College, Elizabethtown College, and Dickinson College. After the season is over, the teams are ranked based on their success that season. The number one team from each league as well as the top 11 teams of the remaining 91 (102 – 11 first place teams) get to attend NIRSA’s Regional Soccer Tournament. From there, each team playing has the chance to advance to Texas for NIRSA’s National Championship Soccer Tournament.
