World Trivia Night

Since 1995, the Children’s Aid Foundation of Ottawa has been hosting World Trivia Night. With over 1,000 participants competing in teams of 10, this is a unique event you don’t want to miss.

Join us at the Rogers Centre Ottawa (formerly Shaw Centre) for WTN's 30th anniversary! Enjoy 10 rounds of exciting trivia, great food, entertainment and a fun-filled evening to remember. Expect to compete for incredible prizes, including Top 3 Fundraising Teams, Top 3 Team Scores, and Best Dressed Team Theme prizes, raffles, live auction, and more!

What You Need to Know To Participate:

* No up-front registration fees *

Your team captain must sign-up your team, with a fun team name, and commit to one of the following fundraising options:

Option 1: Champion Team minimum fundraising goal of $1,600

Champion Team Benefits:

  • Exclusive Team Access to LiVE 88.5 VIP Lounge
  • Complimentary Pub Buffet and Entertainment
  • Exclusive Access to the Bar
  • Doors Open for Your Team at 5:30 pm
  • Exclusive Entry to Trivia Hall
  • VIP Seating and Table-side Drink/Snack Cart Service
  • 6 Team Entries (minimum) into the Champion Team Fundraising Prize Draws
  • For each additional $250 raised, 1 Entry into the Champion Team Fundraising Prize Draws
  • Eligible to Win First Place Trong Nguyen Memorial Trophy and Top Trivia Team Prizes
  • Eligible to Win Top Fundraising Team Prizes

Option 2: Regular Team minimum fundraising goal of $600 for early bird registration by September 30th ($700 minimum fundraising goal if you register your team after the early bird deadline)

Regular Team Benefits:

  • Eligible to Win First Place Trong Nguyen Memorial Trophy (only Champion Teams are eligible to win the Top Trivia Team Prizes)
  • Eligible to Win Top Fundraising Team Prizes

 

Food + Beverages:

Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase during the event from the bar, concession stands and snack carts. (No pre-ordered food items this year.)

  • Please Note: Rogers Centre Ottawa (formerly Shaw Centre) is cashless - methods of payment are google pay, apple pay, tap and go, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Union Pay, JCB and Interac.

 

Deadlines:

  • Monday, September 30, 11:59 pm - Early Bird Registration Closes 
  • Monday, October 28, 12:00 pm - Registration Closes and Minimum Fundraising Commitment Must be Submitted (you can keep fundraising after that though!) 
  • Friday, November 1, 6:00 pm - Final Fundraising Submissions for Eligibility for one of three Top Fundraising Prizes
