During the nine years that NuPath has been hosting The Walk, its fundraising revenues for this one event have grown from less than $10,000 the first year to a whopping grand total of $232,000 in 2018! This uncommon experience has been possible only through the creative and determined energy of NuPath’s amazing workforce, its families and people served, as well as through the incredible support of businesses and other sponsors who are as determined as NuPath to create a world in which people living with disabilities are treated with dignity and respect.
At this point I feel it’s worth pointing out that another group of people who have empowered NuPath to reach their fearless objectives (and a group not always applauded), are the husbands and wives, partners, significant others, brothers and sisters and kids and grandchildren of NuPath’s amazing employees.
I have been riding shotgun with “The Doc” since 2004, and over the past nine years I have watched this event grow from the small occasion it was in 2010 into something even I now barely recognize. I’ve seen NuPath’s progress, determination and commitment to making this world a better place for people living with disabilities…and I’ve learned not to doubt their resolve.
But in order to meet this truly historic goal of $250,000, we need everyone's help! It’s true a goal as ambitious as this might deter other organizations, but I have learned that NuPath does not flinch or turn away from the hard stuff. Instead, they unite as one (and enlist their brilliant loved-ones in the fight!): all of us pledging to dig deeper, reach further and to push harder during the final days of this campaign.
