For Seth and Devin, this holiday season looked very different. After Seth unexpectedly lost his job in tech, the couple did everything they could to stay afloat on Devin’s modest teacher’s salary. The two had always been the ones welcoming others in—hosting friends, sharing meals, filling their home with laughter. But this year, their table sat empty.
