I am super excited with my very first fundraiser for YWCA Metro Vancouver!

I will be sweating it out and dancing the day away to raise funds to provide essential services for women, youth and children and help lift families out of poverty. More like some uncoordinated, but very enthusiastic jumping and jiving.

If I raise $500, I will dance for 1 hour, if I raise $1,000, I'll dance non-stop for 2 hours! If I raise more...I guess there'll be more dancing! Exercise is good, right?

OMG!! Thank you! I have hit and surpassed my $1,000 goal! I will now dance for THREE hours! Keep the donations coming! Let's see what we can achieve together! Yay!!

I started working at YWCA just over a year ago and have been incredibly inspired by the courage and resilience of the women, children and famillies we serve. The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on everyone and I count my lucky stars every day that I still have so much. It has disproportionately affected the most vulnerable.

There are those who can't put food on the table, don't have a roof over their heads, can't access education. Things I take for granted. Things we all should have.

To give you an idea of how far your money can go:

A $20 donation could go towards the food security work of the YWCA.
A $50 donation could help fund the support work of the YWCA for single mothers.
A $75 donation could go towards childhood literacy programs, Indigenous traditions and other YWCA work that helps build family bonds.
A $100 donation could help fund after school and leadership programs for youth.
A $150 donation could support the safety and housing work of the YWCA, ensuring we can provide safe and affordable accommodation for families.
A $250 donation could help fund the mentorship work of the YWCA for young women in grade 11 or 12.
