Scott Blasey - Lead Vocalist for The Clarks
Blasey, known for his vocal work in Pittsburgh, PA based The Clarks, also has a relatively well established solo career. Born in the greater Pittsburgh area in Pennsylvania, Blasey started his musical career when he teamed up with some friends while they were attending college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Blasey, together with guitarist Rob James, bassist Greg Joseph, and drummer Dave Minarik formed New Boots and Panties, the first name for what would later become The Clarks. The Clarks released their first studio album in 1988. Blasey remained focused on this group for several more years and released his first solo album, Don't Try This at Home, in 1995 to moderate success.
In 1999, Blasey released his second album, Shine. Shine included the popular song Born Too Late which was later re-recorded with the The Clarks and released on their album Let It Go in 2000.
Blasey returned his focus to The Clarks from 2000 to 2007, recording and releasing 4 albums. In 2007, Blasey released his third and most recent album Travelin' On.
Blasey continues to play shows both solo and with The Clarks, mostly throughout the Pittsburgh area.
