As an Advisory Board member of the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County, I’ve been reaching out to supporters to thank them for standing with the Y.

What’s stayed with me is how clearly they can name the impact the Y has had on their lives and their families. I’m always moved by those conversations—but I’m not surprised.

Years ago, the Y was a real source of support for me and my kids. It offered care, structure, and community when we needed it. That experience is why this role matters to me.

For 150 years, the Y has met people where they are—providing affordable child care, health and mental health support, and programs that ensure access regardless of ability to pay.
