Oh boy, this is one going to be special in so many ways:

1. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County is celebrating 50 Years of BIG Impact!  Yes, that's literally thousands of young people and adult volunteers matches in meaningful 1:1 mentoring relationships.  So many, in fact, I run into alumni Littles and Bigs all the time while out in the community.  They share the positive impacts both had on the relationship, and many are still in touch years later, experiencing weddings, college gradutaions, birth of children, etc.

2. This will be my last official Bowl for Kids' Sake as the Executive Director as I will be retiring Jan. 2027.  It is bittersweet.  I've been priviliged and honored to work alongside some of the best human beings I've met, be they team members, board members, volunteer Bigs, young people, their families, or generous donors.  It's so incredibly awesome to know everday when I come to work, it's impactful work and makes a difference.  But...I'm tired.  It's incredibly difficult, non-profit work, wouldn't change my decision but I've ready to spend my energy elsewhere.

3.  I have once again been matched with a "Little" Brother, his name is Benny and it reminds me of why I do what I do.  So please consider donating to my page, our team page or purchasing a raffle ticket, do it for Benny and those that came before him and those that will come after...every child needs a positve caring adult in their life.
