Last fall I had the honor of celebrating my little sister Alma's 21st birthday. We met when Alma was in 7th grade. Now she is a sophomore at the University of Iowa and works part time as a bank teller. Just a few of many changes. But one thing that has stayed the same is the pleasure and fun of our friendship. Alma, and her family, are a cherished presence in my life and a source of inspiration. 

While the faces and circumstances of participants in Big Brothers Big Sisters have changed, the mission of connecting volunteer mentors with young people has stayed the same. It has provided pleasure, fun and inspiration to thousands over the last 50 years. Please consider supporting this worthwhile organization.
