Mission Statement
The Zack Heger Foundation was founded for and now remains in memory of Zack Heger who struggled and lost his long and brave battle with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy May 3, 2022 at age 29.
While the ZHF mission was initially founded to fund a cure for DMD and improve the lives of those with MD, we have shifted our purpose to focus on methods of improving accessibility and inclusivity to all people.

Karissa and Phil Santos are running for the Zack Heger Foundation. Please read below to see why they are raising funds for an amazing cause!
We were invited to run the race with a group of friends from town and couldn't pass on the opportunity to have a good time with them, take a short road trip, and all for a wonderful cause. This particular cause is close to our friend's heart, which makes it close to ours; it was a no brainer. We are both active people, and love a good competition, so we are very much looking forward to the event.
