My name is Abby Evans and I have Down syndrome. I live a very full life thanks to my family, my teachers and the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin. I work at Cafe Grace, a Bartolotta Restaurant, as a hostess, attend living skills classes at Brookfield East high school, and participate in Special Olympics. I want to make sure that the association has the funds they need to help others and to continue to help me in the future. Like us, many of you have been personally touched by the lives of other people with Down syndrome. People with Down syndrome are more ALIKE the rest of us than they are different. They have feelings, talents and dreams just like everyone. They deserve to be accepted and appreciated for who they are and what they contribute to our lives and our communities.
