What Quin's been up to:

Quin is now 14 and heading into 8th grade at KMS. He plays percussion in band at school. He just finished his 11th baseball season with the Germantown Superstars Little League Challenger Division. This past summer Quin participated in the ASSEW's iCan Bike Camp wihch was held at GHS in June. He was successful in riding a 2-wheel bike with some guidence by the end of the week long camp. He also attended the community skills program for special education students witin the GSD at KMS this summer and is already getting anxious to head back to school! Quin was especially proud to join the new Best Buddies KMS Chapter this past school year and had so much fun with his friends. Quin loves to be around his MANY friends and has really grown up to be a young man already! He continues to love swimming in his pool, hanging out with his Daily Living Skills Therapists Wyatt & Mary, riding his bike, rockingg out on his drums and especially loves to help out in the yard at home with his very own new wheelbarrow he got for his birthday. We'd love for you to join us for the walk this year in supporting Quin's Super Stars Team. Hope to see you there this year.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page! Whether it's a friend, a family member, or neighbor down the street, we almost all know someone with Down syndrome. Like us, many of you have been personally touched by the lives of these individuals. We are proud to be part of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin's 23rd Annual Statewide Down Syndrome Awareness Walk because it means so much to us and to our family.

People with Down syndrome are more ALIKE the rest of us than they are different. They have feelings, talents and dreams just like everyone. They deserve to be accepted and appreciated for who they are and what they contribute to our lives and our communities.

Please also join us on Sunday, September 22nd, at the Milwaukee County Zoo as part of our team. It's an incredible day of celebration with family, friends, and people who, like you, want to raise awareness & hope of a better world for all people with Down syndrome.

If you are having trouble finding us, you can call my cell at 262-677-8880. We will want to take a team picture before the walk starts so please arrive by 12:20 to be part of our team picture.
