Thank you for visiting the SUPER FIONA & SUPER NEVA fundraising page! Whether it's a friend, a family member, or neighbor down the street, we almost all know someone with Down syndrome or related disabilities. Like us, many of you have been personally touched by the lives of these individuals. We are proud to be part of the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin's 25th Anniversary Statewide Down Syndrome Awareness Walk because it means so much to us and to the Smies/Witt families.

As you may know, our sweet pea, Fiona Witt, was diagnosed at birth with Down Syndrome. She is a little over three years old now! “Super” Fiona is a real snuggle bug of a superhero, especially with her kittens Minnie & Gigi! Although she has no medical issues, it does take her a bit longer to achieve age appropriate goals. With the assistance of her family, friends, and therapists she is achieving her goals! Fiona will be attending preschool in the fall. Everyone is very excited for this full inclusion opportunity. Overall, “SUPER” Fiona is a smiley, content and happy toddler who LOVES walking everywhere especially with her Olde English Bulldog Brutus (10). She loves being read to, coloring, being outdoors, playing in the sand, and going swimming.  Basically what any 3 year old likes to do! :) Fiona is most happy hanging out with her big sister Eva (5). We are very blessed and lucky to have her be a part of our family. 

One of Fiona's friends, Neva Smies, was also born with Down Syndrome. Neva was born with a ventricular septal defect and an atrial septal defect (holes in the heart). When Neva was 5 months, she had heart surgery to repair her heart. Neva is now three years old and a happy, thriving toddler who is FULL of spunk! She loves cuddling with her baby sister Violet. She also loves climbing on daddy and just about anything in the house. :) Neva is a sassy little girl who brings joy and smiles to everyone, she meets.
