My Preeclampsia Story 2012
We continually thank God for the blessings of our daughter’s health and growth. We are honored to share our story of our “preemie” and preeclampsia. I was 42 when I became pregnant with Emma, my first pregnancy. I wasn’t labelled high risk by my doctors; however, at my 32 week checkin my blood pressure was a little high. Over the next 24 hours, unknown to me, my blood pressure was rising and my baby would be delivered. I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia and transferred from Stevens Point to Marshfield.
Emma spent 28 days in the NICU and I spent seven of those days taking care of my health. We can’t thank the doctors and nurses enough for the care we received! Now, Emma is 8 and a healthy girl going into 3rd grade.
Being involved with the Central Wisconsin Preeclampsia Promise Walk, will help us and others connect, share stories, educate, and raise funds to help preeclampsia research.
