Clay Creature Creations: Polymer Clay for Beginners

About This Event

Join clay artist Kelsey and create your very own unique magical creature charms! In this class participants will be guided step-by-step to learn a variety of polymer clay techiques such as conditioning, cane making, cutting and baking all while gaining an understanding and discussing the importance and emotional implications of using your hands to make art. All materials are included for two charms per student- just bring yourself and your imagination. 

These tiny charms are part of Kelseys 1000 creature project. Her goal is to create 1000 tiny creature charms to give out to the community in hopes of adding a little bit of protection to anyone they encounter. 

Ages 8+ are welcome with an adult present. 

Class Dates: 

  • Feb 27- 6pm-7:30pm

 

Instructor Bio: 

Kelsey Hill is a mixed media artist who enjoys sharing what she has learned about materials, techniques, and processes with others. Kelsey has been working with clay since she was 6 years old and wanted to make pretend food for her stuffed animals. She loves working with all age, especially children, and believes everyone is an artist, no matter their experience.
