About This Event

Create a handmade accordion book to fill with expressive collage art. In this class participants will learn simple bookmaking techniques, paper folding, and creative collage methods to create your own unique piece. The books are a fun, hands on way to get your creativity flowing, tell a story, and show off your personal expression through composition.

All materials are provided. 

Instructor Bio:

Emma Brown is an artist, educator, and author. She grew up in the Bay Area, got her BFA from Cooper Union in New York City, and is now a practicing Artist in Sacramento. She has exhibited her artwork in California, New York, and Texas. She is a member of the Artist' collaborative Gallery in Old Town Sacramento and a published children's book author and illustrator. She has been teaching for 6 years and is excited to share her knowledge and experience with you at the Learnery.
