Learn the basics of American Mah Jongg with Sheri Graciano! Originating in the 1800s, Mah Jongg has been a beloved game passed down for centuries. It has been proven to sharpen memory, focus, and strategic thinking skills. Sheri will guide participants through the rules, vocabulary, and card reading to gain a better understanding of the game. From there you'll get the opportunity to test your skills with fellow beginners. All materials will be provided.
Instructor Bio:
Sheri was introduced to the game of Mah Jongg by some friends nearly 20 years ago and has been playing ever since. The sound of the tiles clicking, the fine line between luck and strategy, and the social connection have kept her coming back for more. Though she still plays with the group who introduced her to the game, busy schedules made regular play challenging, which inspired Sheri to begin teaching others how to play. Having recently retired, Sheri was looking for a new group to play with during the day and found many people who wanted to learn which inspired the creation of this class!
