About This Event
Come join Goose and learn to create a yummy, natural jam to kick off berry season. Through expert instruction and guidance, you will gain the skills and confidence to create your own jams and jellies at home. You will be sent home with everything needed to craft your own delicious batches from scratch as well as a jar of Gooses homemade jelly from the presentation. Students will be given the opportunity to observe Goose creating her jam and will get the recipe to create 9 jars of your own at home!
Students should bring a 5qt stock pan with a lid and an apron.
Jam making kit workshop includes:
- Recipe card to take home after workshop
- Local fruits and fresh lemons
- Organic sugar, pectin and butter
- 9 jars, lids, magnetic retrieval tool, and some jar tongs
*Students will not be cooking in class*
Instructor Bio:
They call me Goose. I have 5 beautiful children. I love to make goodies of all sorts, but my specialty is making jams and jellies. I've been making them for over 30 years! It's truly a passion of mine to not only create but use natural ingredients and fresh in season fruits.
