Dear Colleague,

I am planning a general reunion for all classes, concentrating on the reunion years ending in 3s and 4s and 8s and 9s. Many of these alumni were your students, and they would be honored if you attended their reunion on Saturday, May 4th at 5:00 pm.  We will register in the Wiegand Athletic Center, eventually making our way to the School Chapel were will celebrate The Liturgy of the Mass together and remember our alumni and colleagues who have already gone to their eternal reward.  There will then be a tour of the campus and then we will make our way to the cafeteria where dinner and libations will be served.

Most of us got our start in this honorable profession at Salesian High School.  There are varied reasons why we moved on to other undertakings.  In most cases there has always been a place in our hearts for the young men that we taught at Salesian as well as for Salesian educational philosophy of Reason, Religion, Loving Kindness and Active Presence.  These are the pillars that helped to frame the foundation of our educational careers.  Please consider this letter as a “Save The Date” nudge so that you include it in your calendar as it begins to fill up for the Spring.

This year I am very excited to begin my third year as Director of Alumni Relations.  I think often of all my colleagues that have helped to form and nurture me through the years.  I have always felt that the spirit of the school comes from the students and that the heart and soul of the school comes from the teachers.  Here, at Salesian, we have always been challenged to teach with the “heart of St. John Bosco”.  With that in mind, I would like to invite all of you former teachers to come back and reminisce with each other and your students about the good old days at Salesian.  We are now beginning the process of writing our centennial anniversary journal and it would be great to have your memories included.  So, let’s have a party, a FACULTY / STUDENT REUNION to relive the past and secure the future.  Please be our guest by registering at www.salesianhigh.org/alumni and go to the link to FACULTY DECADE REUNION.  If you feel so moved, a donation of $25.00 will be gratefully accepted but not necessary.  Most importantly, we want your presence at the gala.

Until then, if there is anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to give me a call (914) 632-1147 (office) or (914)-490-3294 (mobile). Thank you and I’m looking forward to seeing you on May 4, 2019.
