Growing a native food forest can feed your family, support wildlife, and requires less work than maintaining a conventional garden. Come learn more about how to start your own food forest! Led by Jalen Sleet, Property Manager of the Earlham Nature Reserve System.

Meet in the Turner-Gray Meeting Room.

Members: $3/person | Non-Members: $5/person

Children 12 and under are free (no ticket necessary). 

 

Speaker Profile

Jalen is the Property Manager of the Earlham Nature Reserve System. As a local land manager, he is greatly invested in ecological restoration and invasive species management in Wayne County. He has worked in collaboration with several organizations that manage Richmond's natural areas, including Hayes Arboretum, Cope Environmental Center, the Richmond Parks Department, and the Earlham Nature Reserve System. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, foraging, photography, and establishing edible native plants on his homestead.
