About speaker: Jalen Sleet is a Regional Invasives Specialist with SICIM. As a local land manager, he is greatly invested in ecological restoration and invasive species management in Wayne County. He has worked in collaboration with several organizations that manage Richmond's natural areas, including Hayes Arboretum, Cope Environmental Center, the Richmond Parks Department, and the Earlham Nature Reserve System. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, foraging, photography, and establishing edible native plants on his homestead.
