Meet the Honorees!

Architects of Justice calls us to join together and celebrate all that we can achieve in the cause of building an OC where everyone can thrive, even when the work is hard and heartbreaking.

OC COURT OBSERVERS

Since June, a consistent group of volunteers has been doing court observation every day of the week when the court is open. The work they have undertaken in the past year, supporting people at their immigration hearings has been very difficult, being with families through division and trauma. The difference it has made to the families they have accompanied is immeasurable.

STRIKING STARBUCKS UNITED WORKERS

Since November, thousands of Starbucks workers have been on strike; 12,000+ baristas—young, queer, and workers of color among them—are organizing for a fair contract with higher pay, better staffing and hours, and an end to union busting. We applaud their bravery and fight for better working conditions in the face of corporate greed.
