Description automatically generatedOn March 18, 1885, The Baltimore Sun printed a notice that Reverend Abraham Bradenbaugh left Virginia to begin missionary work in Baltimore.  That spring, his missionary work would quickly become Helping Up Mission.  Our work hasn’t changed all that much in 140 years— today we are still restoring hope and rebuilding lives.

Thank you—our Anniversary Picnic HUM Through the Ages is Sold Out!
We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to our 140th Anniversary Celebration.
Our old-fashioned picnic at the future Recovery Park on Sunday, September 28, 2025 is now completely sold out.

We are grateful for your support as we celebrate this historic milestone at 1100 E. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.

Stay tuned for more opportunities to join us in celebrating Helping Up Mission’s 140 years of hope and healing!
