2025 ANNUAL EVENT TO END HUNGER

For 25 years, the Jewish Relief Agency has been showing up — Door to Door and Dor L’Dor. Since 2000, JRA has brought together thousands of volunteers from diverse ages, backgrounds, and neighborhoods to combat hunger in Greater Philadelphia. What started with three volunteers delivering food to 19 families has grown into a community of 21,000 volunteers delivering 13.5 million pounds of food to over 20,000 clients.

JRA’s mission is rooted in connection: connecting people who care with people who need care. Every box packed, every knock on a door, every smile shared is a powerful act of solidarity. It's more than a food delivery; it’s a message of hope and dignity.

This year’s theme, Door to Door / Dor L’Dor, honors both the personal nature of our outreach and the lasting tradition of service passed from one generation to the next. From infants to 95-year-olds, families continue to show up together, not just to meet a need, but to model compassion, continuity, and community.

The need has never been greater. With recent cuts to SNAP and Medicaid threatening over 55,000 of our neighbors, JRA remains a critical lifeline. Each month, we support more than 6,500 individuals with nutritious food, fresh produce, and essential items like diapers, menstrual products, and school supplies, essentials that aren’t covered by SNAP but are vital for dignity and daily life.

When you give, serve, or champion JRA, you’re helping someone today, and shaping the future of our community for tomorrow. This is your opportunity to knock on a new door, pass on a powerful legacy, and carry the tradition forward.

Join us for JRA’s 2025 Annual Event to End Hunger: Door to Door / Dor L’Dor – Celebrating 25 Years of JRA, on Tuesday, December 2nd. Let’s celebrate the past, take action in the present, and build a future where no neighbor goes hungry.
