Tickets: $150 per person
Join the Framingham History Center for a spectacular evening of live entertainment, elegant fare, and historical storytelling at our 2025 Annual Gala. This year’s theme, “Meet Me at the Maridor,” reimagines the iconic supper club that once stood at Route 9 and Prospect Street.
From 1930 to 1983, the Maridor Restaurant and Hotel was one of Framingham’s most glamorous destinations. Founded by the Greek-American Sculos Family, it hosted countless performers and late-night jam sessions, becoming a hotspot for both celebrity entertainers and local musicians.
This original performance, created exclusively for the gala, features music from the "Great American Songbook" performed live by Dan Gabel and The Abletones, joined by special guest performers:
Allyson Briggs – one of the most popular rising stars in the vintage jazz and pop scene, with an international following and frequent tours in Florida, New York, and abroad. This gala marks her New England debut. Known for her dazzling interpretations of Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Burt Bacharach, and more, Allyson brings a fresh yet classic sound to timeless favorites.
Steve “Gags” Gagliastro – a dynamic vocalist known for his spirited renditions of comedy Vaughn Monroe numbers, as well as hits from Louis Prima, Tony Bennett, and many more. His charismatic performances light up the stage and capture the fun, high-energy spirit of mid-century music.
The evening’s ambiance is inspired by the Maridor’s five famous dining rooms, the Spanish Key Lounge, and the Pearl Bar, all reimagined for one night only inside the Village Hall.
The evening includes:
-
Dinner from local favorite Bella Costa, inspired by Mediterranean and Italian cuisine
-
Open bar and signature cocktails
-
A pop-up historical exhibit, The Golden Mile, celebrating Route 9’s entertainment corridor
-
Fun photo ops with a vintage backdrop
-
Live music and dance in an elegant mid-century setting
Cocktail or vintage 1950s attire encouraged.
Proceeds support the Framingham History Center’s mission and help fund future programs.
