Keep It Green, Keep It Clean Earth Day Celebration 2025

The Roundhouse Aquarium, managed by the Oceanographic Teaching Stations, Inc., will be holding its 2025 Keep it Green, Keep it Clean Earth Day Celebration, an annual festival that provides educational opportunities to celebrate our natural resources. The event will be in person at the Roundhouse Aquarium. The aquarium has partnered with local community groups and school organizations to provide fun, interactive, and hands-on activities that promote sustainable living. Activity booths will be set up inside and outside of the Roundhouse Aquarium. Sponsored by Chevron, DiveNSurf, Port of Long Beach, and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, the event is a perfect way for children and adults to celebrate Earth Month! Also participating as event partners are Kendra Scott, Sustainable Manhattan Beach, and Lazy Acres.

Don’t miss this year’s stations and scheduled 30-minute hands-on activities:

10:30 a.m.  Search for Dolphins and Wildlife (BYO binoculars)

11:30 a.m.  Plankton Races

1:00 p.m.    Learn about our fish and watch them eat!

2:00 p.m.    Search for Dolphins and Wildlife (BYO binoculars)

3:00 p.m.    Plankton Races

Partners like CalState Long Beach’s Shark Lab and DiveNSurf will be at the event to talk about sharks, ocean conservation, and beach safety. In addition, partners like Raising Canes, Lazy Acres, and local National Charity League will sponsor crafts, games, face painting, and raffles will all be part of the fun!

It’s a free event, but we encourage pre-registering here.

All visitors are welcome to enjoy the aquarium free of charge during our open public hours of 10AM to 7PM. We appreciate donations and provide suggested amounts at the entrance.
