2025 Floating Lantern Ceremony

Registration is closed

About This Event

North Hawaii Hospice presents the annual Floating Lantern Ceremony at the Fairmont Orchid on Sunday, August 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. to honor and remember those who have gone before us.

Reserved lanterns are available for pick up at the Registration tent on the day of the event, beginning at 5:00 pm. Lantern reservations are not required.

Lanterns will be available at the event for a suggested donation of $25. You do not need a lantern to attend this event.

All are welcome at this special community event.

Parking: To make your arrival at the event as smooth as possible, we encourage carpooling. The Fairmont has generously offered complimentary valet and self-parking for all attendees. For those who need it, there is a large, designated section at the southwest end of the parking lot (by the event entrance) for handicapped parking. Please note that valet parking, while available, is not the closest to the event. If you choose this option, gratuity would be appreciated for the hardworking Fairmont staff.

Food and Beverage: Please plan ahead. While food will not be sold at the event, ample water stations will be available to our attendees.

Fairmont Orchid on-property food options open during the event:

Kahakai Taco Truck (by the beach shack) —5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Browns Deli – 6:30 am – 5:00 pm - No reservations taken
