About This Event
Each year, St. John’s Episcopal Church invites folks from near and far to be part of the Georgetown House Tour—the OG of house tours in the U.S. (yep, it’s the longest running one!). This event celebrates the stunning architecture, design, and rich history of Georgetown, all while raising funds for some seriously impactful community outreach programs in our area.
The Tour makes a huge difference in the lives of Georgetown locals, helping us provide shelter to those in need with the Georgetown Ministry Center, and keeping our doors open for groups like the Citizens Association of Georgetown, DC Department of Public Works, Hyde Addison Elementary, Georgetown Hospital’s Children’s Unit, and a ton of non-profits that serve people of all ages. As one of Georgetown’s oldest congregations, St. John’s is proud to be a place of hope, connection, and community for everyone who walks through our doors.
For over 90 years, the success of the Tour has been powered by the incredible generosity of our neighbors—those who open their homes to the Tour, and our amazing supporters who make it all happen through donations, sponsorships, and event-related advertising.
Now, let’s talk about the good stuff: the Patrons’ Party! This ticketed event kicks off the Tour and is the unofficial start of Georgetown’s social season. It’s the perfect chance to mix and mingle with the local crowd and businesses. This year’s Patrons’ Party will be on April 23, 2025, at the Anderson House, located at 2118 Massachussets Ave. NW, Washington DC, 20007. And of course, we’ve got the House Tour & Parish Tea happening on April 26, 2025. Nearly two thousand visitors will flock to Georgetown to tour jaw-dropping homes, check out our local shops, restaurants, galleries, and soak in all the charm this neighborhood has to offer. The Parish Tea (hosted by us!) is a cozy spot for tour-goers to relax and refuel throughout the day. Tickets for all events go live on February 1, 2025.
Now, we’re inviting you to team up with us as an Advertiser in the House Tour Magazine. This magazine is your golden ticket to the Tour and will be in the hands of hundreds of visitors, giving you prime exposure as they read about all the featured homes. We’ve got a bunch of awesome sponsorship perks, like ads in the magazine, recognition on event materials, and VIP access to both the Patrons’ Party and the House Tour itself. If you’d prefer to advertise, you’ll get the chance to reach a captive audience eager to discover new services, vendors, and local businesses. All advertising commitments and copy are due by March 14th.
We’d be so grateful if you’d consider supporting this event and helping us continue to give back to this amazing community that we all love.
