Good in the Hood 2026 Information Village Vendor Guidelines
Please read carefully. Our Information Village processes have changed for the 2026 season.
These guidelines are mandatory and must be followed for application approval and participation.
Festival Overview

Location: Lillis Albina Park, adjacent to Harriet Tubman Middle School (Flint & Russell)

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, subject to space availability. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Review, Acceptance & Payment Policy
-
Good in the Hood will review all Information Village applications to ensure alignment with festival values and to avoid duplicate or overlapping offerings.

Vendors selected to participate will be notified and issued an invoice.
-
Payment Deadline:
Vendors have 14 days from the date of acceptance and invoice issuance to submit full payment. -
Failure to Pay:
If payment is not received within 14 days, the vendor’s spot will be released and offered to another applicant. Due to demand, extensions are not guaranteed.
Refund Policy
-
100% refundable within 14 days of payment, provided the refund request is submitted on or before April 30, 2026
-
50% refundable within 14 days of payment for payments made between May 1 and May 31, 2026
-
No refunds after May 31, 2026, regardless of application or payment date
All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be issued to the original form of payment.
Information Village Eligibility Requirements
To be approved for the Information Village, vendors must agree to the following:
A) Purpose of Participation
Information Village booths are intended for community organizations, nonprofits, public agencies, and service providers to share information, resources, and educational materials.

Selling physical goods or services is not permitted.

Fundraising activities (e.g., donations, raffles, sign-ups tied to payment) must be disclosed in advance and approved by Good in the Hood.
B) Load-In / Load-Out Responsibility
Vendors are fully responsible for loading and unloading all materials, including table coverings, booth décor, signage, and promotional materials. Load-in windows are limited, and vendors will be asked to re-park once unloading is complete. Assistance is strongly encouraged.
Setup timing will be provided to approved vendors closer to the event.
C) Security & Liability
While Good in the Hood provides on-site 24-hour security, the festival is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft, including items left overnight.
D) Media Release
By participating, vendors consent to photography, audio recording, and video recording for promotional use in print, online, and on social media. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify a photographer or festival staff member onsite.

Table coverings, signage, and all booth materials are the vendor’s responsibility.

Special booth placement requests or additional equipment cannot be accommodated

Two-Day Pricing & Attendance Flexibility
Information Village booth fees are priced for two festival days — Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2026 — regardless of how many days a vendor is physically present.

Vendors are encouraged to participate on both days to maximize community engagement.

Vendors who are only able to attend one day may still participate; fees are not prorated for single-day attendance.

If a vendor will only be present for one day, they may:

Leave printed materials or resources for Good in the Hood staff or volunteers to share with festival attendees on the day they are not present; and/or
-
Coordinate in advance with Good in the Hood to allow another approved Information Village vendor to use the table for one day, subject to availability and approval.

These options help ensure a consistent, resource-rich Information Village experience for the community while offering flexibility to participating organizations.
Electricity, Internet & Utilities

Limited electricity may be available, but vendors should plan to be fully self-sufficient.

Vendors are responsible for providing their own internet access, extension cords, power strips, batteries, and other technical needs.
Prohibited Items & Conduct
To maintain a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly environment, the following are strictly prohibited in the Information Village and throughout festival grounds:

Weapons of any kind

Alcohol
-
Illegal drugs
-
Marijuana use or smoking anywhere on festival grounds

Open flames, fireworks, or unsafe equipment
-
Amplified sound without prior approval
-
Offensive, hateful, or discriminatory messaging, materials, or behavior
Violation of these rules may result in immediate removal from the festival without refund.
Equity, Values & Accountability
Good in the Hood is a community-rooted, Black-led festival grounded in equity, dignity, and collective care. The Information Village exists to connect our community with resources, services, and opportunities that support well-being and empowerment.
Participation requires shared responsibility. These guidelines are applied consistently and without exception to ensure fairness, safety, and respect for all attendees, volunteers, and vendors.
If your organization is unable to meet these expectations, this may not be the right space for participation.
