Vendor Guidelines

Please read carefully. Our Kid Space participation processes have changed for the 2026 season.
These guidelines are mandatory and must be followed for application approval and participation.
Festival Overview

Location: Lillis Albina Park, adjacent to Harriet Tubman Middle School (Flint & Russell)

Weather: The festival will take place rain or shine.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with Kid Space goals and overall festival capacity.
Review, Acceptance & Payment Policy
-
All Kid Space applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with Good in the Hood’s values and to avoid duplicate or overlapping activities.
-
Approved vendors will be notified and issued an invoice.
-
Payment Deadline:
Vendors have 14 days from the date of acceptance and invoice issuance to submit full payment and secure their space. -
Failure to Pay:
If payment is not received within 14 days, the space will be released and offered to another applicant. Extensions are not guaranteed.
Refund Policy
-
100% refundable within 14 days of payment, provided the refund request is submitted on or before April 30, 2026
-
50% refundable within 14 days of payment for payments made between May 1 and May 31, 2026
-
No refunds after May 31, 2026, regardless of application or payment date
All refund requests must be submitted in writing and will be issued to the original form of payment.
Kid Space Eligibility Requirements
To be approved for Kid Space, vendors must agree to the following:
A) Youth-Focused Programming
Kid Space is dedicated to interactive, age-appropriate activities that provide a clear benefit to children and youth.

Activities may include arts, education, games, hands-on learning, or enrichment experiences.

Selling food or commercial products is prohibited in Kid Space.
B) Load-In / Load-Out Responsibility
Vendors are fully responsible for loading and unloading all materials, including supplies, table coverings, booth décor, activity materials, and signage.

Load-in windows are limited.
-
Vendors will be asked to re-park once unloading is complete.

Assistance is strongly encouraged.
Setup timing will be provided to approved vendors closer to the event.
C) Security & Liability
While Good in the Hood provides on-site 24-hour security, the festival is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft, including items left overnight.
D) Media Release
By participating, vendors consent to photography, audio recording, and video recording for promotional use in print, online, and on social media. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify a photographer or festival staff member onsite.

Additional Notes

Table coverings, signage, and all activity materials are the vendor’s responsibility.

Due to high demand and equipment costs:

Single-day participation is not available

Discounted rates are not offered
-
Special booth placement requests or additional equipment cannot be accommodated

Electricity, Internet & Utilities
-
Limited electricity may be available, but vendors should plan to be fully self-sufficient.

Vendors are responsible for their own internet access, extension cords, power strips, batteries, and other technical needs.
Prohibited Items & Conduct
To ensure a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly environment, the following are strictly prohibited in Kid Space and throughout festival grounds:

Weapons of any kind

Alcohol
-
Illegal drugs
-
Marijuana use or smoking anywhere on festival grounds

Open flames, fireworks, or unsafe equipment
-
Activities, materials, or messaging that are violent, discriminatory, or not age-appropriate
Violations may result in immediate removal from the festival without refund.

Kid Space reflects Good in the Hood’s commitment to joy, safety, equity, and care for children and families. Activities must be welcoming, respectful, and affirming of the diverse communities we serve.
These guidelines are applied consistently and without exception to ensure fairness, safety, and a positive experience for youth, families, and vendors.
