2025 Emerald Youth Foundation Legacy Dinner
Emerald Youth Foundation is thrilled to honor Rick Barnes as the 2025 Legacy Award recipient. Rick Barnes, the most decorated and accomplished head coach in University of Tennessee’s history, enters his 11th year at Tennessee and his 39th as a head coach. Since taking over the Volunteers in 2015, he has guided the program into 7 straight NCAA Tournaments, multiple SEC titles, four Sweet 16s, and two Elite Eights, along with consistent top-10 national rankings. Coach Barnes plays an active role in supporting Emerald Youth Foundation and is an Emeritus Member of our Board of Trustees. Emerald reminds him of his childhood, where he had people, much like Emerald staff and volunteers, at a time he needed it the most. He and his wife, Candy, have a son, Nick, and a daughter, Carley. Barnes is a grandfather to 6 grandchildren.
