At United Against Poverty (UP Orlando), we believe in offering a hand UP, not a handout—empowering individuals and families to achieve economic self-sufficiency through access to nutritious food, job training, educational resources, and crisis support.
Following the Federal Government shutdown this past November, thousands of families and seniors in our community lost an entire month of critical SNAP benefits. For many families and seniors already living paycheck to paycheck, losing a month of benefits during the holidays can set them back for up to six months.
Today, we continue to see food insecurity rise as more neighbors turn to our emergency food pantry for support. UP Orlando provides a dignified experience, ensuring families receive the food they need and enjoy, with enough groceries to feed their entire household for a full week.
This March, we’re tipping off UP Orlando March Matchness! For the second year, VyStar Credit Union will match every dollar donated up to $10,000, doubling your impact and helping UP Orlando keep the emergency food pantry shelves stocked, and families fed.
