Good in the Hood 2026 Marketplace Vendor Guidelines

APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 9, 2026

Please read carefully. Our Marketplace processes have changed for the 2026 season.

These guidelines are mandatory and must be followed for application approval and participation.

Festival Overview

  • Event Dates: June 27–28, 2026

  • Location: Lillis Albina Park, adjacent to Harriet Tubman Middle School (Flint & Russell)

  • Weather: The festival will take place rain or shine.

Application Timeline (2026)

  • Applications Open: February 9, 2026

  • Applications Close: March 15, 2026

All applications will be reviewed after the application period closes. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.

Review, Acceptance & Payment Policy

  • Good in the Hood will review all Marketplace applications to ensure alignment with festival values and to avoid duplicate or overlapping vendor offerings.

  • Vendors selected to participate will be notified and issued an invoice.

  • Vendors that are not initially selected will be automatically added to our waitlist. If a spot becomes available, waitlisted vendors will be notified immediately.

  • Payment Deadline:
    Vendors have 14 days from the date of acceptance and invoice issuance to submit full payment.

  • Failure to Pay:
    If payment is not received within 14 days, the vendor’s booth will be released and offered to waitlisted vendor. Due to demand, no payment extensions will be allowed.

Refund Policy

  • 100% refundable through April 30, 2026

  • 50% refundable from May 1 through May 31, 2026

  • No refunds after May 31, 2026

Refunds are processed to the original payment method.

Marketplace Eligibility Requirements

A) Two-Day Participation Requirement
Marketplace vendors must be able to participate for the full duration of the festival, including both Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2026.

  • Vendors are expected to be set up and operating during all required Marketplace hours on both days.

  • Requests to participate for only one day cannot be accommodated.

  • Vendors who are unable to commit to both days should not apply.

B) Product Type

Marketplace vendors must sell physical goods. Vendors representing community organizations, nonprofits, or services must apply to the Information Village instead.

C) Load-In / Load-Out Responsibility
Vendors are fully responsible for loading and unloading all materials, including merchandise, tables, coverings, displays, and supplies. Load-in windows are limited, and vendors will be asked to re-park after unloading. Assistance is strongly encouraged.

Setup timing will be communicated to approved vendors closer to the event.

D) Security & Liability
While Good in the Hood provides on-site 24-hour security, the festival is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft, including items left overnight.

E) Media Release
By participating, vendors consent to photography, audio, and video recording for promotional use. If you do not wish to be recorded, notify festival staff or photographers onsite.

Booth Fees & Inclusions (Both Days)

5 x 10 Booth Space

  • One 6-foot table and two chairs

  • $150

10 x 10 Booth Space

  • One 6-foot table and two chairs

  • $300

Additional Notes

  • Fees cover both Saturday and Sunday.

  • Table coverings, signage, displays, and all booth décor are the vendor’s responsibility.

  • Single-day participation, discounted rates, special placement requests, or additional equipment cannot be accommodated.

Electricity, Internet & Utilities

  • Limited electricity may be available, but vendors should plan to be fully self-sufficient.

  • Vendors are responsible for providing their own internet access, power strips, extension cords, batteries, generators (if permitted), and other technical needs.

Prohibited Items & Conduct

To ensure a safe, welcoming, and family-friendly environment, the following are strictly prohibited:

  • Weapons of any kind

  • Alcohol

  • Illegal drugs

  • Marijuana use or smoking at booths or anywhere on festival grounds

  • Open flames, fireworks, or unsafe equipment

  • Amplified sound without prior approval

  • Offensive, hateful, or discriminatory materials, signage, or messaging

Violation of these rules may result in immediate removal from the festival without refund.

Equity, Values & Accountability

Good in the Hood is a community-centered festival rooted in equity, culture, and care. We intentionally curate our Marketplace to uplift small businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs while creating a safe and respectful experience for attendees, volunteers, and vendors alike.

Participation requires shared responsibility. These guidelines exist to ensure fairness, safety, and access—not to be flexible based on individual circumstances. Vendors who cannot comply with these expectations should not apply.
