23rd Annual Race for the Light 5K Fun Run/Walk

Bonus for Early Birds!
The first 100 people to register will receive a Candy Cane Baton, donated by 4imprint. Participants will love this fun light-up candy cane baton—it adds a festive touch to their race experience and is perfect for lighting the way as they walk or run through the holiday course.

The 2025 Race for the Light 5K Fun Run/Walk is headed back to the EAA Grounds—you’re invited to lace up, light up, and celebrate the season of giving! 

Proceeds from the event will help individuals and families in our area thrive and reach their full potential.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6, and get ready to don your favorite holiday gear for a 5K fun run/walk benefiting Oshkosh Area United Way. Bring your friends and family for a festive evening filled with lights, laughter, and community spirit.

This year’s race kicks off at the EAA Youth Education Center (located at the EAA Aviation Museum) and winds through the dazzling Celebration of Lights display—hosted at Camp Scholler.

Each registration benefits your Oshkosh Area United Way and includes a race T-shirt*, a set of jingly, jingle bells, a dose of holiday spirit, and serious kudos for wearing an ugly holiday sweater or fun costume.

Online registration closes Friday, December 5 at 4 p.m.**

If you haven’t registered yet, no worries—on-site registration opens at 3:30 p.m. at the EAA Youth Education Center. Cash or credit card welcomed.

Spread a Little Extra Warmth
This year, we’re collecting new waterproof gloves and mittens to support local individuals and families. If you’d like to contribute, feel free to bring a pair to donate during early T-shirt pickup on Thursday or Friday—or drop them off at our 2025 Volkswagen Jetta Sweepstakes Car on race day!

RACE DAY - DECEMBER 6 
EAA YOUTH EDUCATION CENTER • 3000 Poberezny Road   
3:30 p.m. – Check-in (only if you haven't picked up your shirt by race day)**

4:30 p.m. – Race Starts

When You Arrive Saturday
» Parking is located in front of the EAA Youth Education Center.
» Restrooms are located inside the EAA Youth Education Center.
» T-shirt pickup (for anyone who still needs their T-shirt) opens at 3:30 p.m. inside the EAA Youth Education Center.
» Release Form: If you haven't already, please download, sign, and drop off your Release Form inside the EAA Youth Education Center.
» You do not need to check in on race day if you’ve already picked up your T-shirt and dropped off your Release Form.
» Race begins promptly at 4:30 p.m.
