About This Event

Join us at Niner Wine Estates for an engaging morning focused on the role of biochar in enhancing soil health and advancing sustainable farming practices. We'll begin with a panel discussion featuring industry experts who will share their insights on the benefits of biochar, its impact on soil health, and practical strategies for successful integration into farm operations.

Following the panel, attendees will experience an interactive field demonstration exploring the stages of biochar production — from active pits to finished products — and learn how to maximize its value as a beneficial farm resource.

  • Patrick Muran, Niner Wine Estates

  • Craig Macmillan, Niner Wine Estates

  • Charlotte Decock, Cal Poly

  • Pete Herder, Cal Poly

  • Doug Beck, Monterey Pacific (MPI)

  • Jessica Bronner, Sitos Group
