About This Event

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Bring your stories to life with Claymation! Using different types of clay and other materials, campers (4th & 5th grades in fall) will create individual and collaborative animations using stop-motion techniques. Learn to develop a character in clay, study movement techniques, and storyboard your ideas. We will study comics, watch short animations, and take inspiration from the 2025 Tinworks exhibition. Families and guardians are invited to join us for an art show the last day of camp to celebrate and screen campers Claymation films! Registration opens February 1st!

COSTS AND CANCELLATIONS

Space in Tinworks’ summer art camps is limited, and registration is required. The cost for each participant is $150 for this camp. If a camp fills at the maximum of 16 campers per session, you can select the option to be added to a waitlist. Refunds, minus a processing fee, will be given for cancellations only if requested 30 days before the start of camp. We will not refund for absences or behavioral dismissals. Needs-based scholarships are available and can be discussed upon request on a case-by-case basis.

WHAT TO BRING AND KNOW

Campers are required to bring a water bottle, snack, and sunscreen each day. Campers are welcome to arrive between 8:45am – 9am each day and must be picked up by 12:15pm, or incur a $10 late fee. Tinworks Art staff reserves the right to dismiss disruptive campers or those with significant behavioral difficulties. Please fill out our camp form a week before camp starts. All art projects will be displayed and celebrated with a small reception at 11:30am on the last day of camp. All are welcome to attend.

TINWORKS ART CAMP

We welcome young artists to explore the world of art through all their senses! Art is an integral part of building a healthy, enriched, and creative community, and we are excited to contribute to the expanding artistic horizons of Bozeman. Kids will partake in art-making sessions with professional art educators, learn about our 2025 exhibition, and showcase the art they make. Activities will include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, fiber, storytelling, photography, and movement-based projects inspired by the themes of our Tinworks' exhibition. February 1st signup, 16 max per camp.

Questions regarding camp can be directed to Community Outreach and Education Coordinator Angela Yonke at angela.yonke@tinworksart.org.
