What does it mean to be an adult? For most, it means choosing your path, earning a paycheck, and coming home to a place that's truly your own. For the incredible individuals at AIM (Adults Independent and Motivated), it means all that—and so much more.

Their journey to independence isn’t without obstacles. Intellectual disabilities, communication hurdles, and motor or social challenges once stood in the way. But these weren’t roadblocks—they were rallying cries. Our AIMers never needed shelter—they needed a chance. And thanks to supporters like you, they’ve found it. Together, we’ve transformed barriers into breakthroughs, and limitations into launchpads. Today, AIMers are not just finding their wings—they're flying.

Event Highlights - 9th Annual Tutus and Ties Fun Run

  • Date: Saturday, October 18, 2025
  • Time: 8:00 a.m.
  • Location: Galleria at Bee Cave
  • Activities:
    • Dress in your favorite tutu or tie and join us for a morning of fun, community, and empowerment!
    • Family-friendly course
    • Self-timed 5K run or walk
    • Optional 1K run or walk
    • Music

Our Goal

Help us reach our $70,000 fundraising goal—our biggest of the year! Every dollar supports essential, no-cost services for AIMers including:

  • Transportation to work and social activities
  • Health and fitness programs
  • Lifelong learning opportunities
  • Community engagement and belonging

If severe weather occurs resulting in the event being rescheduled or canceled, we regret that we will not be able to refund donations.

  • *AIM retains the right to reject sponsors, auction items, signs, social media messages, and swag bag items that are not consistent with our commitment to fostering a vibrant and respectful community for people with IDD and their supporters.
  • For sponsorships eligible for inclusion on flyers and t-shirts, to receive this perk AIM must receive all sponsorship materials by September 15th and for swag bags by October 4th. If our event reaches capacity, sponsorships received after that point will no longer be eligible to receive event registrations.
