2026 Celebration of Changemakers

There is no single way to change the world.

Some Changemakers open doors. Some transform systems. Some create opportunities. Some stand beside people in their most difficult moments. Some challenge us to imagine what could be better. Some bring people together so their collective impact can reach farther.

At the 2026 Celebration of Changemakers, Girl Scouts of Western Ohio will honor four remarkable individuals and an organization whose very different paths share one thing in common: they are making the world a better place.

She changes lives through education, creating opportunities that can strengthen generations.

Deb Silverman
She multiplies impact by aligning philanthropy, partnerships, expertise, and volunteer service.

Jamila Watson
She opens doors—and walks beside women and girls as they step through them.

Emerging Leader:

Tina Ohmart Mendoza
She builds the connections that make communities stronger.

Nonprofit Changemaker:

Women Helping Women
They support survivors while transforming how communities respond to violence.

The 2026 Celebration of Changemakers will bring together business, nonprofit, education and civic leaders, Girl Scout supporters and community members for a morning of recognition, inspiration and connection.
