This year's Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? is more than a trivia fundraiser—it's a celebration of the incredible community that makes our mission possible. We'll be recognizing the generous businesses, organizations, and individuals who participated in our Back-to-School Supply Drive and celebrating a decade of keeping creative materials out of landfills and in the hands of teachers, students, artists, and makers across the Kansas City metro.
Enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Brancato's, complimentary beer and wine, exciting silent auction and raffle opportunities, and our signature Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? gameshow. Whether you're a trivia whiz or just coming to celebrate, you'll enjoy an evening of great food, friendly competition, and meaningful impact.

Founded in 2016 by a former teacher, ScrapsKC is a creative reuse nonprofit dedicated to supporting teachers in the Kansas City metro by equpping them with free, quality classroom supplies, so they have everything they need to support their students both in the classroom and beyond.
By reducing barriers and providing essential tools, we empower teachers to focus on teaching and student success—while also promoting community responsibility through sustainable practices.
