Join staff from the Art Museum of West Virginia University in a hands-on art making workshop where you will learn about the techniques and methods used by Blanche Lazzell. Lazzell is featured in the Botanic Garden’s installation “Mountain Modern: The Art of Blanche Lazzell”  as well as the Art Museum’s exhibition, Blanche Lazzell: Becoming an American Modernist, which opens to the public on August 21, 2026. Lazzell was renowned for making woodcut prints with a distinctive white line. This workshop will offer a modified approach using linoleum and foam rather than wood to introduce beginners to this innovative technique. Suitable for ages 4+. $20 for WVBG Members, $30 for General Admission.
