Workshop with 406 Cirque

Join 406Cirque founder Paúl Gomex in a movement laboratory. Participants explore the fundamentals of object manipulation through techniques drawn from circus arts and physical theater. In this workshop, participants will have a chance to explore the rehearsal and research techniques being used in 406Cirque's upcoming show Algorithm.experience necessary. Bring: 3 objects of different texture and physical characteristics.
Space is limited to 30 maximum participants; registration required. Registration opens one month prior to workshop, committed participants encouraged. Please dress for changing weather conditions.
Instructor 406 Cirque
406Cirque is a contemporary circus and movement organization based in Bozeman, Montana. We create space for sustained practice, original live performance, and thoughtfully curated experimentation—bringing together circus, dance, theater, music, and embodied research across ages and experience levels. More than a school or a venue, 406Cirque is a home for movement, live performance, and creative risk. A place where curiosity leads, collaboration is essential, and the work is taken seriously without taking itself too seriously.
Many people are interested in this event and space is limited! We ask that you register only if you are committed to attending. If you are unable to attend your workshop please contact us within 48 hours of the event to ensure we are able to pass your class spot to someone on the waiting list in a timely manner. Tinworks understands that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but we ask that you contact us as soon as possible.
If registration fills, a "Waiting List" option will become available and you can select this to be added to a queue. We will contact these individuals as spots become available. Those on the waiting list may come the night of the workshop to be sold available spots if registered participants do not show, but will not be garaunteed a class position. Those on the waiting list are welcome to come and observe the class, however project materials are reserved for registered individuals.
Parking can be found in the Tinworks Art parking lot or surrounding streets. Please note that with increased construction in the neighborhood parking may be limited and recommend arriving with plenty of time to park and get settled. We encourage, walking, biking, and utilizing the free Bozeman Streamline bus route also has several stops in the area.
