This year’s celebration will highlight the value of land stewardship, while honoring the people and partnerships that make conservation at the local level possible.
At the heart of the evening, we’ll present the Jack Gleeson Environmental Achievement Award to Dr. Michael Van Clef, Stewardship Director and New Jersey Invasive Species Strike Team Director at Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space.
For over 30 years, Mike has inspired thousands through his widespread knowledge, sense of humor, and approachable perspective to land stewardship and planning.
His extensive research in rare and invasive species, deer management, and policy has been invaluable to the Garden State and will shape the future of conservation.
