2026 Heavenly Love: Seminole State Planetarium Special Event

About This Event

Celebrate Valentine's Day by learning some of the many love stories told in the tapestry of the night sky. Discover the Korean myth about the stars Vega and Altair and their separation on either side of the Milky Way River. Experience the romance between Orion the Hunter and Artemis, the goddess of the moon, and discover how this love story tragically ends. Travel to the depths of the underworld in the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. Find out how the constellation Aquarius was placed in the sky. Finally, enjoy the classic Native American tale of Algon the Hunter and the lost star maidens of the Pleiades. All proceeds from this show will go to Rescue Outreach Mission's emergency shelter for those experiencing homelessness in Seminole County.

Tickets are $10 per person to attend the event.

Doors open 15 minutes before showtime. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Telescopes will be provided to view many celestial wonders brought to you by the Central Florida Astronomical Society from 7 pm to 10 pm. Weather Permitting

This show is recommended for ages 9 and up.
