Star Party Program

Thursday, Oct 1

  • 6:00–6:30 pm Sunset Talk: "Sunset Shadows and Circles" with Brian Skiff 
  • 6:45–7:15 pm Twilight Talk: "Betelgeuse, Siwarha and the Modern Naming of Our Stars" with Dr. Danielle Adams
  • Stargazing with telescopes until 10 pm
  • Interactive activities for children starting at 6 pm, provided by Tynkertopia

Friday, Oct 2

  • 6:00–6:30 pm Sunset Talk: "Sunset Shadows and Circles" with Brian Skiff 
  • 6:45–7:15 pm Twilight Talk on Indigenous astronomy with Dr. Bryan Bates
  • Stargazing with telescopes until 10 pm
  • Interactive activities for children starting at 6 pm, provided by Lowell Observatory

Saturday, Oct 3

  • 6:00–7:00 pm Live Music from the Dark Sky Quartet
  • Stargazing with telescopes until 10 pm
  • Interactive activities for children starting at 6 pm, provided by Lowell Observatory
