About This Event

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Art & Improv

Expand your child’s creativity with Tinworks Art and Last Best Comedy as they team up to embrace the possibilities of play, experimentation, and spontaneity in the arts and performance! Campers will learn to observe and be present, channel intuition and brainstorming, give up control and utilize opportunity, and explore possibility through improvisational exercises and artistic practices. Over this week students will observe the Tinworks 2026 exhibition, engage in discussion, and create multiple projects to take home. This session will culminate in an art showcase for families and guardians to celebrate their child’s creations and new skills. This camp is open to students 6th grade in fall and older, Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm at Tinworks Art, August 17-21. Registration opens February 1, sixteen campers max per session.

COSTS AND CANCELLATIONS

Space in Tinworks’ summer art camps is limited, and registration is required. The cost for each participant is $300 for the entire week. If a camp fills at the maximum of 16 campers per session, you can select the option to be added to a waitlist. Those on the waitlist will be contacted if spots open up before camp begins. Refunds, minus a processing fee, will be given for cancellations only if requested 30 days before the start of camp. We will not refund for absences or behavioral dismissals. Needs-based scholarships are available and can be discussed upon request on a case-by-case basis.

WHAT TO BRING AND KNOW

Campers are required to bring a water bottle, snack, and sunscreen each day. Campers are welcome to arrive between 8:45am – 9am each day and must be picked up by 3:15pm, or incur a $20 late fee. Tinworks Art staff reserves the right to dismiss disruptive campers or those with significant behavioral difficulties. Guardians will fill out emergency contact and medical information at the time of checkout. All art projects will be displayed and celebrated with a small reception at 2:30am on the last day of camp. All are welcome to attend.
