On Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, Meals on Wheels Western Michigan is thrilled to honor Mark Secchia for the impact he has made in West Michigan and his innovative leadership in the region's culinary community.
Held at the Goei Center, the 12th annual Chef's Specialty will feature an open bar and strolling dinner featuring signature bites from 10 local chefs. A seated program will follow, including dessert from the MOWWM kitchen, the announcement of the winning chefs, mission moments, and a live auction.

Timing: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the strolling tasting and voting, which ends at 7:00 p.m. Following the tasting, a seated dessert will be served during the program. An open bar will be available during the strolling tasting from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. After 7:00 p.m., wine will be available in the banquet hall during the seated program.
Dress: Business Casual
Parking: Free parking available in the Goei Center parking lot, as well as free street parking surrounding the venue
Check-in: Whether you enter the front or back entrance to the Goei Center, please proceed to the Registration Tables, where you'll check in. Staff and volunteers will be there to direct you. There are no physical tickets for this event, so you can just check in using your name.
Chef Tasting: 10 local chefs, including the MOWWM kitchen, will each sample a delicious dish and share the recipe during the strolling tasting! Cast your vote during the event for your favorite dish. Tasting stations will close down at 7:00 pm. Ingredients will be listed, and vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options will be available. Contact the Meals on Wheels Western Michigan team with any other dietary concerns or questions.
Donations & Auction: There will be an opportunity to donate during a Fund-the-Need and Live Auction. Donations can also be made on the event website, using a giving envelope, or directly with staff at the end of the event.
